Obituary For Jeffrey "Smitty" William Smith
Jeffrey “Smitty” William Smith, 60, of Newport, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2026. He was the son of John William and Mary Frances (Nee Murray) Smith.
He worked for Auto Zone as a Commercial Manager. He attended the Cross & Crown Church, enjoyed hunting, golfing and volleyball. He was a Football Coach and a Baseball Coach, known by many as Coach Smitty. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Alianah Smith.
He is survived by his parents Bill and Mary Smith, his wife Sandy Smith, sons; Gabe (Danielle) Smith and Jimmy Smith, sisters; Donna (Danny) Partin and Sheila (Marvin) Thomas, 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Cross & Crown Church 6143 Mission Way Lane, Cold Spring, KY on Friday April 24, 2026 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at10:00am at Cross & Crown, and burial will follow at Alexandria Cemetery.
