Jill Runion, age 82, of Crescent Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. She was born in Dayton, Kentucky, on August 24, 1944, to the late Stephen Hoyt Combs and Dorothy Ann {Simons} Combs. On July 28, 1962, Jill married the love of her life, Russell Lee Runion, Sr. Their greatest joys were their two children, Russell Jr. and Terria.

Jill was a former and long-time member of Berean Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, visiting yard sales, cooking, and baking. She especially loved baking cakes for work events and family birthdays, and her family will always cherish the memory of her delicious chocolate cakes. Above all, Jill treasured her family. She found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she loved, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as “Nana.”

Jill will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Russell Lee Runon, Sr.; her son, Russell Lee Runion, Jr.; her sister, Mickey (Joe) Burns; and her 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Terria Lynn Bowman; her brother, Dusty Combs; and her sisters, Elizabeth Combs and Barbara Moore.

No services will be held at this time. Jill will be inurned at Big Bone Cemetery in Union, KY.
