Obituaries

Jo Anne Morris (neé: Staggs), 92, of Florence, Kentucky entered into rest on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Jo Anne was born in Covington, Kentucky to her late parents, Earl M. and Ethelda Staggs. She is preceded in death by her husbands, William Bremenkamp, Sr. and James R. Morris, as well as her son, William Bremenkamp, Jr. and infant daughter, Linda Sue Bremenkamp. Jo Anne will be greatly missed by her beloved daughter, Karen Bremenkamp; her 2 grandchildren, Courtney Bremenkamp and Wiliam Bremenkamp, III; and her daughter-in-law, Jean Chapman. She is also survived her stepchildren, James H. Morris (Miriam), Carolyn Jo Woodard, John Morris (Kate), and Paul Morris (Tracy); and 9 step-grandchildren and several step- great-grandchildren;. Jo Anne enjoyed reading mysteries, listening to country music, watching U.K. Basketball, and working all kinds of puzzles. She was very active in the community, serving on several boards and doing anything she could to better her community. She retired in 1992 as the Chief Finance Officer at Northern Kentucky Area Development District. Upon her retirement she enjoyed volunteering as an Airport Ambassador at the Greater Cincinnati International Airport. Above all, Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
