Obituary For Joan Clare Endres
Joan Clare Endres (nee: Albers), 92, of Union, Kentucky, entered into rest on Friday, June 28, 2024. Joan was born in Covington, Kentucky to her late parents, August and Anna (Feldman) Albers. Joan was raised by her father and stepmother Elizabeth (Erpenbeck) Albers after the death of her mother. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Delbert Endres Sr., her dear daughter, Mary Angela Endres, her grandson Jeffrey Klare and her siblings, Marian Albers, Elaine Fogel, and Donald Albers. Left to celebrate Joan’s memory are her children, Betty Ann Moore (David), Mary Jo Klare (Steve), Delbert Endres, II (Kathy), Diane Beebe (Les), Mike Endres (Fannie), Steve Endres (Pennie), Theresa Howell (Jimmy), Patty Smith (Doug), and Michelle Collins (Richard). She will also be greatly missed by her 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and her significant other, Bob Gray of 16 years. Joan leaves behind a legacy of love for her family. She will be remembered as a woman with a magnetic personality that never met a stranger. She was one of the founding families of St. Barbara parish. Using her natural social skills, she was instrumental in the development of the Social Committee, coordinating picnics, dances, and family activities. Following her desire to give back, she balanced her family duties and practiced to perform at the Cotton Follies to benefit Redwood School. She was also a former member of St. Paul Church in Florence and St. Pius X Church in Edgewood prior to St. Barbara’s establishment. She was a current member of St. Timothy Parish. Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Friday, July 5. 2024, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Timothy Church, 10272 US 42, Union, Kentucky 41091, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home at www.dcchcenter.org or via mail to 75 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky 41017.
