Obituary For Joann Marie Kwozalla

Joann Marie (Egan) Kwozalla went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. Joann was born August 6, 1931, to George and Emily Egan and grew up in Latonia, KY where she graduated from Holmes High School. She married William (Bill) Kwozalla on June 28, 1952, and devoted her life to Bill and their four daughters.

Joann was a long-time member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. She served as a Deacon among other positions at the church she loved. Her hobby was creating incredible crewel embroidery works that her family will forever treasure.

Joann is preceded in death by her husband Bill and her parents. Her daughters include Steffani Hardesty (Joe) of Charlotte, Shannon Herold (Covington), Stacey Richardson (Jim) of Lexington, and Shelby Lange (Ken) of Ft. Wright. She also was loved by her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who all lovingly refer to her as “The Nana”.

The family would like to show deep appreciation for the caregivers at The Homeplace at Midway; especially those in the Hope Cottage. They are so very grateful for their loving care.

A private graveside service will be held for the family on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made in her memory to The Homeplace at Midway, 101 Sexton Dr. Midway, KY. 40347.

Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger, is serving the family.
