Obituary For Joanne Clare Overman

Joanne C. Overman (nee, Holtman) 85 of Ft. Thomas, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2025, at St. Elizabeth ICU, Ft. Thomas, with her loved ones present.

Joanne was born August 22, 1940, to Augustus & Bernadette (Luckman) Holtman.

Joanne was a retired brokerage assistant with Prudential Bache Securities. She enjoyed golfing & bowling in her younger years, spending many days on the course at AJ Jolly. She was an avid UK & XU basketball fan. Loved watching all the games she could. Living on Rossford Ave, she would work her crossword puzzles for hours, taking breaks to give the neighbor dogs treats while they were on their daily walks. She missed having a dog of her own and loved to meet all the dogs in the neighborhood. Most recently she was living her best life at the Barrington of Ft Thomas, enjoying bingo, happy hour and the company of the many friends she had made while living there.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul D Overman, her sister Carol Hartley, brother Dennis Holtman & beloved sister-in-law Mary Sue Rice.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter Cheryl (Jack) McElveen; granddaughters Megan (Nick) Bibbins & Allison (Andy) Franzen. Her great grandchildren, who she adored; Jax & Blakely Bibbins and Austyn & Ayden Franzen & sister-in-law Nancy Overman and grand dog Bailey & 3 nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10-12 pm, with Memorial Service to follow at 12 pm., Wednesday December 17th at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Ft Thomas.

Joanne will be laid to rest at St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas.
