Joseph Charles Ruebusch, 41, of Independence, KY, formerly of Ft. Thomas, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas.

Joe was born on August 22, 1984, to Nicholas and Susan (nee: Krebs) Ruebusch.

He enjoyed being at his family's farm, walking through the fields and by the riverbanks with his dog, Luna, and playing and joking with his nieces. He was most at peace in nature.

Joe is survived by his parents, Nick and Susan Ruebusch, his beloved dog, Luna, his sister, Alison (Collin) Wenzell, his brother, Sam (Stephanie) Ruebusch, nieces, Whitney and Emery, his future nephew Jackson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Lindner Center of Hope.
