John Charles Davis, age 72, of Piner, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. He was born on October 17, 1953, in Piner, Kentucky, to Thomas Davis and Wanda Davis Turner.

John retired from Eaton Asphalt after many faithful years of service as an Equipment Operator. He will be remembered for his fun-filled personality, generous heart, strength, and devotion to his family. John enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and being with his family and neighbors. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need.

John was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Davis; mother, Wanda Turner; brothers, Michael Davis and Gerald Davis; and sister, Mary Davis.

He is survived by his children, Jessica, Samantha (Mikey), and Jonathan (Clay); grandchildren, Paige, Preslee, and Parker; brother, Stanley Davis (Pam); sister-in-law, Debra Davis; and many nieces and nephews and lifelong cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11th at Chambers and Grubbs funeral home, 11832 Madison Ave, Independence, Kentucky 41051. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm until the start of service at 4:00pm.
