John H. Walker of Union, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday. December 14, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was born in Ashland, Illinois on February 10, 1938, to the late Darrell and Martha {Blair} Walker. John retired after 32 years of working as a supervisor for Delta Airlines and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was also a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. In his spare time, John enjoyed traveling, playing golf, softball, and gardening in his yard. He certainly had a passion for Aviation and a great sense of humor. Although he could be stubborn at times, John was a dedicated, hard worker. Most of all, he loved helping people. To know John was to love him. His presence will be deeply missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Reliford and his first wife, Carol Walker.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Yvonne Walker; children, Robert “Bob” (Tonya) Walker, Don Walker, and Juanita (Ray) Spangler; step-children, Dwayne (Janice) Pickens, Randy Pickens, and Vonda Pickens; several beloved grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other friends, neighbors, and relatives who will cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.
