John Macht

Obituary For John Macht
Stoned Cold Crazy John Macht passed peacefully June 25, 2026 at 10:58 AM at Continental Manor in Blanchester Ohio. How he lived his life was anything but peaceful.
As a child, John was well known at the local emergency room, where he was a frequent visitor, especially in the hot summer months of Northern Kentucky. Whether crashing his minibike, falling out of the Catalpa Tree in the front yard, or attempting to “bungy jump” out of the hayloft in the barn, John was what people consider to be an adventure seeker. His love for adventure was unlimited when it came to Jeep rides through the cow pasture on his family farm. Many suffered the bruises and contusions from
saying “yes” to his offer to “take a ride.”
Many of his friends and family have everlasting
memories of spending weekends at the Macht Family Camp on the Whitewater River in Indiana. John was always a welcoming, generous host at the camp. It was only fitting that John’s personality and love of pushing the boundaries would lead him into his favorite activity of “Truck Pulling.” Along with his brother, Joe (the Mechanic), John built, drove and developed a team to compete in the world of Truck Pulling. His most notable trucks were “Stoned Cold Crazy, Dirty Love, and Waitin’ On Joe.”
Those who were fortunate enough to know John, know he was one of the funniest people on the planet
with a true love of living life fully.
He has now joined his beloved wife, Terri, his friend Guy, and all those that left us too soon.
He is survived by his son, Josh Macht (Florence); his daughter, Amy Macht (Dry Ridge); Sister-Mary Pfferman (Denise and Roger) Blanchester, Ohio; Brothers- Jim Macht (Sondra); Bill Macht (Jean, Jeremy and Jordan); Joe Macht (Sandie, Janet and Jacob); and sister- Kate Macht Dorto(Chris).
No services will be organized as per John’s request.
The family will be setting up a Celebration of Life Picnic in his honor. Going on Picnics with his family became one of his greatest joys in his later years.
