Obituary For John Patrick Huey
John Patrick Huey,79 of Southgate, KY, passed away on August 18, 2026, at the Cincinnati VA, Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1947, to his parents Jesse Harold and Martha Helen (Williams) Huey.
He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked for many years at the Greater Cincinnati Airport in the Delivery Department and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his brother Michael Huey, sister Patricia Huey and nieces Sarah Young and Hannah Huey.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Friday August 28, 2026, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.

My Condolences to Mike and Patty and the rest of your family on the passing of John. He will be missed by many. John was pretty quiet in his way even with all the guys growing up, messing around the Fort and having fun. I remember going to his Condo trying to talk him into attending our Highlands 50 yr. Class Reunion. He said he didn't go to any other ones so why go now. It probably took me 45 minutes to get him to go. I told him I'm not leaving until you agree so he did. I was on the Committee to find classmates and I was asked what ever happened to John so I was determined to accomplish the task. We were glad he was there and quite a few thanked me for getting him a few more to attend. Great time for all. Mike you said John was ready to pass on so God granted his prayer just took little longer than John wanted to. God be with you John..
