John Paul Winstel, 88, of Crestview Hills passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood.

John was born on July 8, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio to John R. and Alvina (Schulte) Winstel. He retired following a lengthy career as a Salesman and Manager for Marshall Dodge, formerly of Covington. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs. John enjoyed golfing and was a sports enthusiast who loved following the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and NKU Women’s Basketball, but his greatest joy was being with his family.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Ann (Moss) Winstel in May of 2023; his parents; and his siblings.

Survivors include a daughter, LuAnn McLane; sons, Robert (Leslie) Winstel and Jay (Denise) Winstel; 10 grandchildren, Ryan (Meghan) McLane, Tim (Maria) McLane, David (Amanda) McLane, Cara McLane, John (Mary Jill) Winstel, Justin (Rachel) Winstel, Joe (Jennifer) Winstel, Jacob Winstel, Caroline Winstel and Grace Winstel; and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation 9:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs, Kentucky. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger, Kentucky is serving the family.
