Obituary For John Richard Ferguson
John Richard Ferguson, 74, of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Independence, passed away June 1, 2026, at Heather Hills Nursing Home in New Port Richey, Florida. He was born December 17, 1951, in Independence, to the late John R. Ferguson and Dora Mae Stevens Ferguson.
He was a retired Truck Driver and owned and operated Awnings, Inc. in Florida. He loved collecting cars and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Hudson, Florida.
He is survived by wife, Marilyn Ferguson; daughter Stephanie Ferguson; one sister, Marie McMullen; one grandson, Dakotah Ferguson and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Lipscomb and Coy Ferguson.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 12-2 PM Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A. Burial will take place at a later date at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
