Kendall, John William, 91, of Burlington, KY died July 27, 2024 at Woodcrest Nursing Home. Born August 1,1932 in Huntington, West Virginia, John lived the biggest part of his life in Boone County. He was an active member and volunteer of Burlington Baptist Church for the past 29 years where he enjoyed greeting and most enthusiastically participated with the Upward Basketball program, following and watching some of the players as they grew even through college, especially Courtney Hurst.

John married Edna Townes on April 25, 1952 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Covington, KY. They were blessed with three daughters, Cathy (Rick) Gac of San Diego, CA, Linda (Joe) Deaton of Fayetteville, NC and Leslie Kendall of Seattle, WA, four grandchildren; Kelsey (Joe) Humphries, Brittany (Kel) Coulter, Stephanie Gac and Brian Gac; three great grandchildren, Kendall Coulter, Kash Coulter and Emma Humphries. Along with his family he leaves many friends who have been a true blessing to him and Edna.

Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with service at 12:00 p.m., both at Linnemann Funeral Home – Burlington. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Cemetery. Donations can be made in John’s name to Burlington Baptist Church or the Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation.
