Obituary For Joseph Frederick Bamberger, II

Joseph “Jay” Fredrick Bamberger, II., 82 years of age, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Joseph was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late Dorothy and Joseph Fredrick Bamberger. He is also preceded in death by his beloved son, Joseph Fredrick Bamberger, II. Jay is survived by his loving son, Andrew Bamberger and wife, Lee Brauch. He was the proud grandfather of Andrew Bamberger, II. (Callie), Rosemary Grace Bamberger and Max Bamberger and great grandfather of Olivia Bamberger. Jay also leaves behind his sister, Michelle Bamberger; as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Bamberger, Joan Brennan Kennedy, James Bamberger, Nancy Egan, and Dorothy Ruth Bamberger. Jay attended Xavier University for his undergraduate and then went on to the University of Kentucky for his Law Degree. He devoted his life to law and always strived to be a fair Judge. He was a man with great wit, wisdom, and sharpness. He served as a District Judge from 1980 – 1992 and then served as a Circuit Court Judge from 1992 – 2004. He enjoyed all sports specifically the Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals and he enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Jay also cherished his time with friends and loved to entertain family and friends. Family and Friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042.
