Obituary For Joseph McCarthy
Joseph Jeremiah McCarthy VII, age 89, of Crescent Springs, KY, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home. Joe was a proud U.S. Army veteran, a wonderful cook, and stayed active and strong well into his 80s. He had a deep love for music and spent many joyful years singing with choirs and music groups, including the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus and the Mother of God Church Choir. He also had a lifelong passion for history and took immense pride in his Irish heritage.
Joe will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and great love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela; his children, David McCarthy (Vickie Bowers), Anne Wildman (Martin), Joseph McCarthy (Lillie), and Monica Ashcraft (Bill); and his grandchildren, Kevin Varnum and Meghan Varnum Young (Michael). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Church, 2470 Lorraine Ct., Crescent Springs, KY. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Mausoleum Ft. Mitchell, KY
