Obituary For Joseph W. Klingenberg

Joseph W. Klingenberg, age 76, of Union, Kentucky, passed away on April 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born to Joseph and Evelyn Klingenberg, who preceded him in death, Joseph lived a life marked by devotion, humility, and quiet strength. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty and discipline with him throughout his life.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Patricia, and was a proud father to his children: Jennifer (Steve) Hahn, Joseph (Rebecca) Klingenberg, Bradley (Heather) Klingenberg, and Ed (Becca) Rosic. He was also a cherished grandfather to Jocelyn, Katie, Ella, Ty, Abby, Emily, Hadley, Nash, Vail, Bella, and Ozzy, each of whom brought him immense joy.

He is also survived by his siblings: Mary Evelyn Klingenberg, Mary Jean Walsh, Ginny (Tim) Akin, and Rosie Schmidt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Tom Walsh.

Joseph was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a founding member of the Northern Kentucky University chapter. He dedicated 40 years of his career to Schneider Electric, where he was known for his reliability, work ethic, and leadership.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, located at 10272 U.S. 42, Union, KY 41091, on Saturday, April 25. Visitation will take place from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held afterward in Brodrick Hall, located beneath the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Journey: The Ed Colina Foundation (https://www.edcolinafoundation.org/) or the Rose Garden Mission (https://fdofmary.org/).
