Obituary For Joyce Ann Blanchet
Joyce Ann Blanchet (nee Hils), age 86 passed away at her residence on January 28, 2026. She was born in Covington, KY on July 24,1939 to the late Bertha (nee Back) and M. Henry Hils.
She was a loving and generous person whose life was filled with enjoyment of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Edward Blanchet.
She is survived by her loving children Linda (Tim) Parker, Rick (Amy) Blanchet, Barbara (Steve) Goderwis, and Rob (Sandy) Blanchet. Joyce is also survived by nine loving grandchildren Dr. Ryan (Ashley) Parker, Stephanie Parker, Amanda Blanchet, Lauren (Franklin) Graves, Nicole Goderwis (Richard Dunn), Michelle Goderwis, Emilee (Elliott) Brazell, Josh Blanchet, Holly Blanchet. She is also survived by five great grandchildren Liam, Isla, Calum, Aria and Rhianna Parker.
She was preceded in death by grandchild Lisa Marie Blanchet.
Joyce leaves behind sisters- in- law Elizabeth (“Betty”) Hils (nee Oberle) Hils and Marjean Hils (nee Spille). She was preceded in death by her sisters Ellen May Goeke, Flora (“Doe”) Schnorbus, Ann Welch, Joan Schulte, Mary Rose (“Ro”) Hils, and brothers Fr. Henry Hils, Clement Hils, Jude Hils, M. David Hils and Martin (“Mote”) Hils. She also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her gentle and kind spirit.
A devoted Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. Pius X Church, the visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to DCCH Center for Children and Families, 75 Orphanage Road, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
