Obituary For Joyce Ann Carnes

Joyce Ann Carnes, age 70, of Taylor Mill, KY, left this world peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on September 4, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the cherished daughter of Lloyd Riley and Edna Crooker Riley. Joyce dedicated her life to her family as a beloved homemaker and a devoted member of Beech Grove Holiness Church in Burlington, KY. Her passion for exploring yard sales and dollar stores brought joy to her life, but her greatest joy stemmed from her role as a caregiver to all who knew her. Joyce is now reunited with her late husband, General Lee Carnes, who passed in 2017, as well as her siblings Don, Dean, and Larry Riley. She leaves behind her proud children: General Lee Carnes Jr. “#1 Son” (Carla), Leesa Stanfill (Drew), and Elizabeth Carnes (Matthew), alongside her adoring grandchildren—Bethany, Natalie, Cameron, Jenna, Kaedon, Rihannah, Jeremiah, Paulina, Alisia, Julietta, Octavio, and Sofia. Additionally, she had bonus grandkids: Matthew Jr., Maci, Maleia, Khristiana, and Kaston along with great-grandchildren Noryan, Andres, Aria, and Brandon Jr. Her legacy continues through her great-nieces and great-nephew: Dylan, Britt Britt, and Tyra, as well as her siblings Dennis Riley, Barbara Mullins, and Linda Couch-Horn, and her cherished best friend, Georgetta Mason. Join us in celebrating Joyce’s remarkable life during the visitation on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. This heartfelt gathering will take place at Stith Funeral Home, located at 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042. Joyce will be laid to rest at Beech Grove Cemetery in Burlington, KY. In honor of her caring spirit, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. For those wishing to express their sympathies, online condolences may be shared with the family at www.stithfuneralhome.com. Your support is invaluable as we remember and celebrate the life of a truly wonderful woman.
