Obituary For Joyce Ann Mintkenbaugh

Joyce Ann Mintkenbaugh, 86, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Born on October 12, 1939, in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Joyce was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Goedde, Sr. and Dolores {Lacally} Goedde.

Determined from an early age, Joyce graduated high school at just 15 years old and entered the workforce. She later devoted herself to raising her family as a loving stay-at-home mother before returning to work as an Office Manager at Tillman Furniture Co. and eventually retiring from Quast Orthodontics.

In her younger years, Joyce loved dancing with her beloved husband, Ronald, creating cherished memories together. No matter the occasion, she was always dressed to the nines, carrying herself with grace and elegance. Joyce was an exceptional baker and cook, and her family will forever treasure her homemade chicken noodle soup, which easily became a favorite. She had a gift for nurturing flower gardens, enjoyed challenging herself with Sudoku puzzles, and could often be found immersed in detective stories, mystery novels, or works of historical fiction.

Above all else, Joyce's greatest happiness came from her family. Whether sharing a meal, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying time together, she treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her children, Linda Mintkenbaugh, Cindy (David) Westendorf, Michael (Gina) Mintkenbaugh, Danny (Shanah) Mintkenbaugh, and Laura (Roy) Mintkenbaugh; her grandchildren, Miranda, Benjamin, Audrey, Sam, Stella (Benjamin), Mandy (Dan), Rebecca (Seth), Brooke (Micah), Shelby, Sarah, and Savannah; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden Conner, Zyler, and Ellington Jo.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Mintkenbaugh; her sister, Janet Goedde; and her brother, Joseph Goedde, Jr.

Services for Joyce will be held on Tuesday, August 4th with visitation hours from 10 AM to 12 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. Joyce will be laid to rest at St. Cecilia Cemetery following her services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church at the above address.
