Obituary For Joyce Ann Smith

Joyce Ann Smith, 83, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on August 8, 2026. She was born on September 9, 1942, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Howard Dennler Sr. and Mallie Eversole Dennler.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She married her husband, Kenneth Smith Sr., and together they built a beautiful life and family.

Joyce dedicated her life to caring for her home and the people she loved. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Onyx, sewing, crafting, collecting Precious Moments, and listening to Elvis Presley. Her faith was also an important part of her life, and she was a longtime member of Florence United Methodist Church.

Joyce is survived by her five children, Kenneth Smith Jr., Mark Smith (Julie), Christopher Smith (Tracy), Deana Fullam (Ken), and Nicholas Smith (Mallory); her brother, Howard “Sonny” Dennler; and her sister, Dorothy Marie Coyle. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Morgan Smith Howle (Spencer), Christopher “Grant” Smith, Conner Smith, Summer Smith Leon (Jaime), Quentin Murray, Brady Murray, Kendall Murray, Reagan Fullam, Dillon Smith, and Brody Smith; and one great-grandchild, Wrenley Howle.

Joyce will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the many special memories she created with those closest to her. Her presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
