Obituary For Judith K. Plageman

Judith K. Plageman (74), passed away on February 7, 2026 at St Elizabeth Fort Thomas. She was born on December 31, 1951 in Covington, KY to the late William and Dorothy (Ernst) Daniels.

Judy’s beloved father and brother were veterans and that sparked her interest in being a part of the VFW. She worked there for many years and made a lot of friends along the way. It was not just a job, it was her time with friends.

Judy was always a hard worker and full of energy. Her main priority was to provide for her children as a single mother. When she wasn’t working she was busy with friends or family; she was always on-the-go in her younger days. It wasn’t until her later years as she was declining in health that she learned how to just relax. Most people would probably describe her as “feisty.” Judy loved her family and would talk about her kids and grandkids to anyone that would listen.

She is survived by her brother, James Daniels, children Sonya (Rusty) Kells, Michael Trumbull, Dawn (Scott) Zahler, and Paul (Sharon) Plageman, and grandchildren Matthew, Heather, Kevin, Dwight, Carson, Gavin, Malone, Tyler, Taylin, Jessica, and Jeremy, along with several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Mark Bacon.

A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 4:00pm at the VFW, 343 E 47th St, Covington, KY.
