Obituary For Kacy Rose Cornett

Kacy Rose Cornett, 26, of Highland Heights, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2026.

Kacy was unapologetically herself in every way—loud, confident, and effortlessly funny. She never felt the need to be anything other than who she was, and that is what made her so unforgettable. She had a presence that was bold, real, and impossible to ignore. Anyone who had the chance to know her will forever remember the impact she left behind. It was often said that Kacy was someone you could never forget, and that truth will live on through everyone who loved her.

She had a vibrant and fearless spirit, full of life and authenticity. Kacy loved deeply and was fiercely protective of her family and friends. She had a way of making people feel seen, safe, and valued just by being herself. She was also an incredible artist who loved music and expressed herself in ways that were meaningful and lasting—leaving pieces of who she was in everything she created.

Above all, Kacy loved being a mother. Her daughter, Kamryn Rose Rusin, was the center of her world. Becoming a mother brought out an even deeper love, strength, and purpose within her, and it was a role she cherished with her whole heart.

She is survived by her parents, Jennifer Hess and Vinson Cornett (Jessica); her siblings, Kynlee Cornett, David Cornett, and Colton Cornett; her nephew, Lane Cornett; her fiancé, Darren Rusin; her daughter, Kamryn Rose Rusin; her aunt, Julie Hess (Ray); and her cousins, Michael (Dakoda) Hanson and Jaxon Hanson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Ann MacDonald, Michael Hess, and Judy and David Cornett.

A memorial service will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Monday, April 13, 2026, with visitation from 5:00–7:00 PM and services immediately following at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private to the family.

Donations can be made to any US Bank in the name of Kamryn Rose Rusin. You may contact Julie Hess for information.

Kacy will be remembered for her strength, her authenticity, and the love she gave so freely. She was truly one of a kind, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
