Karen “Kaye” Rose Riddle, age 62, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Born in Florence, Kentucky, on September 13, 1963, Kaye built a life centered on the simple things that brought her joy. She worked as an administrative professional throughout her career and was known for her kind spirit and quiet nature. Kaye’s gentle presence, caring heart, and love for life’s simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She brought joy and happiness to those around her. She was incredibly caring, honest, sincere and down-to-earth.

Kaye loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, exploring and camping. She was also an independent and intelligent woman- well beyond her level of education. Her interests included astrophysics, astronomy, Irish folk music and science fiction. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren

Most of all, Kaye cherished the people she loved. She leaves behind her devoted husband, William R. “Bill” Mitchell Jr.; her beloved children, Josh Neaves, Shannon Hoffman, Devin Hoffman, and eleven grandchildren; step-children Michael Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, and five step-grandchildren; along with other family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. Kaye had the presence and ability to blend two families into one.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m.
