Obituary For Karen Sue Heringer
Karen Sue Heringer, a woman who loved to laugh and make others laugh, passed away on September 26, 2023. Born on October 6, 1958, in Covington, Kentucky, she spent her life spreading joy and sarcasm in equal measure. But her spirit and laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
Karen was the queen of Bingo and slot machines, a connoisseur of old TV shows and movies, and a woman who could find humor in the most mundane situations. She had the uncanny ability to lighten up any room with her presence. Her laughter was infectious, her wit was sharp, and her love for tootsie rolls was unparalleled.
She was the beloved wife of Thomas, a man who matched her wit with his own and loved her for her spirit. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters, Rebecca Stidham (Tim), Amanda Heringer (Danny Bram),
and Julie Heringer (Dewey Martin). She was the cool mom, the one who could embarrass her daughters in the most loving way possible, and the one who taught them the value of laughter and love.
Karen was also a proud mamaw to Tristan, Haley, Melody, Britney, Heaven, Tyler, Chloe, and Abby. She was the kind of grandmother who would spoil her grandchildren with love and laughter. She was their favorite storyteller, their partner in mischief, and their most passionate cheerleader.
In addition to her immediate family, Karen is survived by her siblings Debbie Pabst, Cindy Sherlock, Linda Mann (Mark), Penny Sargeant, Lisa Duff, Mike Pabst, Steve Pabst (James Blue), Billy Pabst (Paul Turner), and Kenny Pabst. She was the sister who could make family gatherings fun. She was preceded in death by her brothers Allen Pabst and Chris Pabst, who are undoubtedly the recipients of her heavenly humor now.
Karen was a selfless, loving, and generous woman. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She was the friend who would make you laugh when you were down, the neighbor who would lend you a helping hand, and the woman who would make a stranger feel like a friend.
Karen made people laugh, she made people love, and she made people live. Her life was a testament to the power of laughter, the beauty of love, and the joy of living. She will be remembered for her laughter, her love, and her legacy of joy. You will be missed, but your laughter will live on in our hearts forever.
Gathering of Friends will be held on October 2, 2023 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 7816 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY. Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org
