Katherine M. Busher (nee Bayless) has passed away at age 76.

Kathy was born to parents Benjamin and Thelma (nee Prather) in Lewis County. They moved to Pendleton County where she grew up on the family farm alongside her three brothers and sister. After marriage, Kathy and husband Frank returned to their piece of the farm to raise their children.

Kathy was a woman of strong opinions and lived life on her terms. She enjoyed years of riding horses, tending to her plants, and cooking meals for those she loved. As her hands slowed, she spent her time reading a good book, solving countless crossword puzzles, and shopping for a great deal. It brought her joy to gift some of those great finds to those around her. She always had a love for animals and found comfort in the companionship of her dogs.

Baking was her creative outlet. Over the years, she crafted beautiful cakes to celebrate life's milestones for her family. Her family will treasure the memories of baking cookies together at the holidays.

Kathy is remembered by her children, Bridget (Allan) and Wesley (Carey); grandchildren, Joey, Aaron, Austin, Logan, Lexi, and Kensey; brothers, Melvin (Margie) and Ivan (Carla); numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.

She joins in eternal rest her parents, husband, infant son Mark, brother Tommy, and sister Marilyn.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. The family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and support.
