Kathie Scott, 74, of Belleview passed away on August 7, 2026. The world lost a woman whose life was defined by helping, loving, and lifting up everyone around her. Born on June 6, 1952, in Covington, KY, Kathie devoted her life to serving others.

She worked as a Paramedic with the Belleview Fire Department, where her compassion and steady presence made her a source of comfort in the hardest moments.

Later, she became a beloved bus driver for Boone County Schools, touching countless young lives with her humor, warmth, and protective spirit.

Kathie loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. Whether she was cracking jokes, offering a listening ear, or simply being present, she made life brighter for everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Kathie was the daughter of the late Sebern Ryle Scott and Agnes Marie (nee Stephens) Scott.

She was the loving mother to Corey (Brittany) Snelling, Casey (Austin) Snelling, Tosha (Eric Kuchle) Adams, and Eddie Adams. She was a proud grandmother to Hailey Baker, Greyson Baker, Gaige Snelling, Kylie Snelling, Hayley Snelling, Braylynn Kuchle, Mason Kuchle, and Ryker Kuchle. Kathie is survived by her sister Marty (David) Wood, her brothers Bobby (Cheryl) Scott, and Jimmy (Cindy) Scott.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Scott and sister Cynthia Scott.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Belleview Baptist Church from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with the funeral service to follow. Kathie will be laid to rest at Belleview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathie’s memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or the Belleview/McVille Fire Department.
