Obituary For Kathleen Anne Robbins

Kathleen A. Robbins, age 73, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Kathleen dedicated over 30 years to the dental field. She began her career as a dental assistant, later completed college to become a dental hygienist, and ultimately concluded her professional journey as a dental office manager. Her work ethic and commitment were evident throughout every stage of her career. As a military spouse, Kathleen had the opportunity to travel and live in several places with her children, including Maine, Ohio, Hawaii, New Mexico and Kentucky-experiences that shaped both her life and her family. She was preceded in death by her former spouse of over 30 years, Robert L. Robbins (2012); her brother, Laurence Keddy; her parents, James W. Sr and Edith (McAtee) Keddy; and her sisters, Virginia M. Pizzarella and Cecelia Novelle.

Kathleen is survived by her loving children: James M. Hamilton and his wife Julie of New Jersey; Kelly-Jo Hamilton Button and her husband Richard; and Alyssa Yates and her husband Jason, both of Independence, Kentucky. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren-Sean M. Hamilton, Kendal M. Hamilton, Seth A. Hamilton-Johnson, Audrey Hamilton, Elizabeth Hamilton and Brynn Hamilton- as well as two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind her siblings, James Keddy and his wife Suzanne of Worcester; Janice Welcome of Lee; Marcia Hansbury of Worcester; Priscilla Ekberg and her husband David of Florida; John Keddy of Worcester; and Debora Pascarelli and her husband John of Worcester.

Kathleen found her greatest joy when surrounded by her close family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

An intimate gathering will be held at home with close family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.
