Obituary For Kathy Ann Hartman

Kathy Ann Hartman (nee: Schnelle), 67, of Alexandria, passed away on September 16, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Born on August 8, 1958, to W. Donald and Mary Lou Schnelle, Kathy graduated from Newport High School and dedicated 33 years of service to U.S. Bank as a Systems Analyst. While she was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, the true center of Kathy’s life was her family. Her love for them was unwavering and profound. She poured her heart into every family gathering, from going out to eat to cheering at volleyball games, always present and engaged. Her son and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she embraced every opportunity to support and care for them. Kathy’s devotion was perhaps most evident in the love and strength she showed while caring for her husband, Rich, throughout his battle with cancer; never leaving his side and walking with him through every step of the journey. Her life was a beautiful reflection of selfless love, quiet strength, and deep commitment to those she held dear.

She was preceded in death by father, W. Donald Schnelle, mother, Mary Lou (nee: Duff) Schnelle, brother, Kenneth Schnelle and beloved husband, Richard Hartman. Left to cherish Kathy's memory are her son, Brian (Christina) Hartman, brother, Donald (April) Schnelle, brother, Jeffrey Schnelle, sister, Sandra (Carl) Iles, sister, Jayne Stubbs, grandson, Brian Turner, granddaughter, Jadeyn Hartman, granddaughter, Kendyl Hartman.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 South Fort Thomas Ave, Fort Thomas, KY 41075. A memorial service will begin at 8:00 pm. The family will gather at St. Stephen Cemetery on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Online condolences can be given at www.dmefuneral.com.
