Obituary For Kenneth Arnold Ray

Kenneth Arnold Ray, a dedicated and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at his home in Demossville, Kentucky, after a prolonged illness. Born on June 20, 1956, in Covington, Kentucky, Kenneth's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, his work, and the passions that brought him joy.

Kenneth devoted many years to working as a warehouse employee for GAP, where his reliability and strong work ethic were well regarded by colleagues and management alike. His professional life was but one dimension of a rich and full existence characterized by his varied interests and deep love for his family.

An avid softball player in his youth, Kenneth later developed a keen interest in photography, finding joy in capturing life's moments through the lens. His affection extended to the canine world, where he took pride in showing his beloved Kuvasz dogs, reflecting his genuine affection for animals and nature. Kenneth was also a passionate sports enthusiast, particularly devoted to the University of Kentucky’s basketball and football teams, embodying the spirit of a lifelong fan.

Perhaps his proudest accomplishments were not found in his career or hobbies, but rather in his family life. Together with his wife, Joyce (nee Reisenbeck) Ray, Kenneth lovingly fostered 13 children, demonstrating his boundless capacity for care and generosity. His legacy lives on through his children—Adam Ray and his wife Brooke, Ethan Ray and his wife Emma, Jessica Ray and her boyfriend Bailey Graziani, Cheyenne Ray and her boyfriend Sam Bowles, and Christopher Ray and his girlfriend Sabrena Ware—and his cherished grandchildren, Wyatt Coomer, Jameson Ray, Clara Ray, and Raeleigh Ray. Kenneth also is survived by his brother Jennings Ray and several nieces and nephews who held him in great affection.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Hugh Ray and Beryl Ledford Ray, and his brother William Ray.

His passing leaves a profound gap in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory endures in the love he shared and the lives he touched.

The Ray family extends their deepest gratitude for the support and compassion offered during this difficult time. Kenneth Arnold Ray will be remembered as a man of warmth, kindness, and dedication—a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

IN OUR HEARTS We thought of you today. But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday. And days before that too. We think of you in silence. We often speak your name. Now all we have are memories. And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake. With which we'll never part. God has you Ken in his keeping. We have you in our heart.

Dear Ken, I was so sad to hear that you have passed. But I also know how you suffered with being sick. You are a butterfly leaving the cocoon. You did your job on this earth and God Called you home. Until we meet again my friend. And the biggest blessing is that you can meet up with your brother your best buddy .As 4th of July comes again this year you will no longer have to be sad, you will be with William. You were my classmate Simon Kenton 1974 and then my brother In-Law. Love Carol and Fred Lemkuhl
