Obituaries

Kenneth Hedges, 95, of Silver Grove, KY, passed away on April 19, 2026, at his home. He was born March 20, 1931, in Powersville, KY to his late parents, Roy and Maude McKibben Hedges.

He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Kenneth was a pipeline welder by trade with over 70 years of service to Pipeliners Local Union #798, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A highlight of his career was his time spent working on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Kenneth enjoyed playing his piano and quail or rabbit hunting. He loved telling a good story or joke and making people laugh. Kenneth was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Silver Grove, KY and was a man of strong faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Dolores Ann Hedges (nee Hause), parents and four sisters.

Kenneth is survived by five children: Michael (Carrie) Hedges, Marcus (Tami) Hedges, Kenneth A. (Christine) Hedges, Kelly (Chris) Hedges-Pelle and Mitchell Hedges; ten grandchildren: Brooke Smothers, Julie Hedges, Emily Vietti, Adam Hedges, Cody Pelle, Kate Hedges, Taylor Hedges, Connor Pelle, Jack Hedges, and Carson Pelle; and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington Street, Alexandria, KY 41001 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment in the Alexandria Cemetery.
