Obituary For Kylie Ann Anderson

Kylie Ann Anderson, 26, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026, at her residence.

Born on March 5, 1999, to Angi and Ty Anderson. A 2017 graduate of Boone County High School, Kylie was a multi-sport athlete, playing soccer and basketball throughout her life. Never one to shy away from a challenge, during her senior and only year of track, she earned a spot at the state championship.

Kylie continued her academic and athletic career at Thomas More College, graduating in 2021 with her bachelor’s degree in physics. While at Thomas More, she played both soccer and basketball and was a proud member of the women’s basketball team that captured a national championship.

Kylie dedicated more than four years to Reynolds and Reynolds, where she worked as an Implementation Partner. She was known for her intelligence, drive, and ability to connect with anyone she met.

An old soul in every sense, Kylie carried wisdom beyond her years, balanced by a bold and independent spirit all her own. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—crocheting, cooking, gardening, and gathering with family and friends. Whether playing on the soccer field, officiating as a U.S. Soccer Federation referee, enjoying a spirited game of cornhole or darts, she embraced life fully and on her own terms.

Her happiest days were those spent at the cabin in Tennessee, fishing by the water with her Papaw and building a lifetime of special memories.

She had a heart of gold, a brilliant mind and a smile that could light up any room. She could talk to anyone. She was a role model to her siblings and one of her greatest joys was being KyKy to her sweet niece, Haisley. She was loved deeply by all who knew her; simply put, everybody loved Kylie.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers: Michael Pike, Ronald Anderson and John Clare, Jr.; and grandparents, Frank “Grandshot” and Pat Anderson.

Kylie is survived by her parents, Ty and Angi Anderson; siblings: Kayla, Kelsie and Kellen Anderson; niece, Haisley Anderson; grandmothers, Pat “Mimi” Pike; Martha “Nee Nee” Pike; aunts: Carla (Deandre) Mitchell; Jennifer (Scott) Fields; Melinda Clare and Niki (Justin) Lunsford; uncles, Dustin (Emily) Pike and Jared (Italia) Pike; cousins: Mackenzie, Anderson and Maleiah Mitchell; Mason and Presley Fields; Jalyn, Allie and Chase Lunsford; Dominic and Olive Pike; Aria and Josh Pike; as well as other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery in Florence, KY.
