Obituary For Landon Williams
Landon “Lanny” Williams, age 91, of Independence, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026.
Lanny was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Kleier Williams; son-in-law, Randy Sowards; daughter-in-law, Sheri Williams; brother, Elbert Williams; and sister, Rita Moss.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ravenscraft Williams; children, Diane Williams Sowards and Bob Williams; siblings, Marty Dunn, Rick Williams (Connie), and Brenda Jackson (Tom); grandchildren, Brandon Williams (Kelli), Sam Sowards (Kelli), and Kyle Williams (Katie); eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
