Obituary For Larry Albert Clifton
Larry “Rockfish” Albert Clifton, 65, of Walton, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026. Born December 6, 1960, in Cincinnati, Larry was the beloved son of the late Leonard and Betty Clifton Jr.
A 1978 graduate of Walton-Verona High School, Larry chose to build his life in Walton, where he created a loving home and raised a family with his devoted wife of 39 years, Barbara.
Larry was a proud union man who believed deeply in hard work, loyalty, and helping others. Larry was a member of both the United Steelworkers, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Larry took great pride in his career as a truck driver and in his retirement from USF Holland. Known for his dependable nature and steady presence, Larry was someone family, friends, and coworkers could always count on.
Outside of work, Larry found his greatest happiness in simple moments spent with those he loved. He enjoyed time at the farm, days on the river, and giving back to the community he called home. Friends and loved ones will fondly remember his loyal heart, gentle humor, and the nickname “Rockfish,” which reflected his quiet strength and steadfast spirit.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Elizabeth (Rodney) and Josh (Nicole); his cherished grandchild, Reese; and his siblings, Mark and Sherry (Paul). He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leonard Clifton III.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N Main St. Walton, KY 41094. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Brother David Wiggins to officiate. Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY.
Larry’s quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
