Obituary For Larry Glenn Moses

Larry Moses, age 72, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Larry dedicated 46 years of his life to Levi Strauss & Co., where he worked as an RC truck operator. It was the only job he ever had, a testament to his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment.

Larry truly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was happiest when he was outdoors. He loved spending time fishing at Kincaid Lake, camping with family and friends, taking annual beach vacations to Myrtle Beach, visiting the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, and playing putt putt golf. Whether it was relaxing by the water or enjoying the mountains, he appreciated every opportunity to be outside.

A devoted sports fan, Larry faithfully cheered on the Cincinnati Bengals, the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Cincinnati Reds—especially during the Pete Rose era. He was also known for always having a Mountain Dew in one hand and a bag of Grippo’s chips nearby, two of his favorite treats that those who knew him will always remember.

He was preceded in death by his parents Garnett and Genevieve Moses, sister Julia (Patrick) Spaw, and his daughter Melinda Moses.

Larry is survived by his brother, Garnett (Fran) Moses, daughter Kayla (Matthew) Congleton, nephews Scott (Maygon) Moses, Brett (Cary) Moses, Justin (Jessica) Moses, Darren Moses, and countless other friends and family.

Above all, Larry will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hardworking nature, and his appreciation for life’s simple joys. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry’s name to the American Cancer Society.
