Obituary For Larry Lee Wade
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry Lee Wade. He was born February 1, 1948, and transitioned out of this life, surrounded by family, which was both his greatest achievement and the true joy of his life, on June 9, 2026.
A devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather (Papaw/Paps), Great-Grandfather, and Friend, he dedicated himself to those he loved most. Nothing brought him greater pride than his family, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he was one of their biggest supporters. Whether it was a game, match, meet, tournament, or special event, he could always be found cheering from the sidelines. He took great pride in following their athletic pursuits and celebrating their accomplishments, both big and small. His steady presence, encouragement, and enthusiasm meant the world to his grandchildren, who knew they could always count on seeing his smiling face in the stands. The memories of his unwavering support and love will remain with them for a lifetime.
Outside of family, he was an avid golfer who found happiness on the course. He enjoyed card night with his friends, where they talked about golf and horses. He also had a lifelong passion for horse racing, not only enjoying time at the racetrack but also taking pride in owning horses himself. He loved the excitement, tradition, and beauty of the sport.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sharon Wade, his children, Sara Wade-Lahman (Jay), David Wade (Andrea), his grand-children Morgan Elder, Madison Krause, Sam Wade (Kaitlyn), Zachary Wade, Sophia Fassold and his great grand-children Javen Krause, Luke Elder, Maelee Krause, who will forever treasure his memory and carry forward the values, love, and laughter he shared throughout his life.
Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the family he loved so dearly and the countless memories they shared together.
A memorial service celebrating Larry’s exceptional life will be held on June 18, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Sugar Bay Golf Course Clubhouse, 975 Dry Creek Road, Warsaw, KY 41095.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made online in Larry’s memory to The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
