Obituary For Lawrence Charles Rohling

Lawrence Charles Rohling, 90, of Alexandria passed away on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 at HighlandSprings Nursing Home, and is now in the presence of God the Father who loved him and who he loved.

Larry was born May 27, 1935 to John Rohling and Patricia "Cleo" Rohling-Campbell He was a veteran in the United States Air Force and a member of the Greendale First Church of Christ in Greendale, Indiana.

In his younger days living in Northern Kentucky, Larry and his brothers built and raced a car for drag racing. He also loved skeet shooting.

Larry retired from Fermco Atomic Energy Plant where he was a programmer/analyst and manager. He also worked briefly for Billboard Publications and was a Ross Township Trustee for a number of years. He was instrumental in founding the Ross Township, Ohio Volunteer Life Squad, where he was a paramedic and served as chief. He was a member of Hidden Valley Lake where he served on a number of committees.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Russell and John Rohling and great-grandson Weslee Ashlock.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Janet (nee. Smith) Rohling, daughters, Denise (Leslie) Sigmon & Sharri (Nick) Rebholz, sister, Marilyn (the late Paul) Busch, also 4 grandchildren, Jamie (Duane) Cranmo, Nicholas (Emily) Rebholz, Elizabeth Rizzo, Christina, (Thomas) Ashlock, and 7 Great Grandchildren, Kara and Mya Johnson, Drake, Javonte & Duane Jr. Cranmo and Tristan and Everette Ashlock.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 8,2025 from 9:30am to 11:00am with service to follow at 11:00am at the Dobbling Funeral Home, 106 South Fort Thomas Ave. Fort Thomas, Ky. Larry will be laid to rest at Mother of God Cemetery.
