Obituary For Leah Clore

Leah Clore, 62, passed away on May 26, 2026, after a life that was many things to many people.

Born on June 23, 1963, to Barbara Britt (née Burt) and Garnett Clore, Leah grew up surrounded by family and was a longtime, devoted member of Richwood Presbyterian Church. She found solace in crafting, tending her garden, and caring for her beloved pets. Her happiest moments, by all accounts, were those spent with her grandchildren.

Leah is survived by her son, Derek McDine, and his wife Caprice; her grandchildren Jayde McDine, Alexandrite McDine, Serenity Oiler, and Piper Linn; her longtime partner of 18 years, Robert Wood; her mother, Barbara Britt; her brother, Mike Clore; and her sister, Lara Ayres.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Ramler.

Leah struggled deeply throughout her life with challenges she carried largely in silence and largely alone — burdens that, left unaddressed, cast long shadows over those closest to her. She was a complicated woman who leaves behind a complicated grief. Those who loved her did so with full knowledge of her imperfections, and those she hurt may find that healing is a journey that continues beyond her passing.

May she find the peace she was unable to find here.
