Obituaries

Lewis Garfield Wever, 86, of Covington, passed away early Friday morning, April 24, 2026. Born in 1940 to Beatrice Hurst Wever and Lewis J Wever, he was a lifelong resident of Covington, Kentucky with a rich family history in Northern Kentucky.

Lewis is preceded in death by his siblings: Betsy Ballinger, Eugene Wever, James Wever (Jackie), and Jane Spurlock (Jim).

Lewis's memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who survive him: his daughters, Brenda Williams and Holly Nemchin (Dave); son, Brian Wever; the mother of his children, Helen Wever; grandchildren, Ben, Derek, Jessica, and Nichole (Joe); great-grandchildren Harper and Skylar; and his sister, Marie (Allen).

Lewis Wever was known for his dedication to his family as a father and provider. He was incredibly hardworking, and his work ethic was what his loved ones admired most about him. Lewis had a special talent for finding joy in the everyday. He was especially committed to his yard work, mowing his grass with the same commitment he showed in his long career as a flooring installer and contractor. Over the years, Lewis enjoyed trips to the Grand Ol Opry, and holidays gathered around the table with those he loved most. His porch will not be the same without him to sit on it and watch the cars go by. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A.
