Obituary For Linda M. Marshall

Linda M. Marshall, age 83, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Burlington, Kentucky. She was born on October 5, 1942, in Carlisle, Kentucky, to Herbert and Wilma (Letcher) McClanahan.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared 64 loving years of marriage with her husband, Charles Marshall. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and meaningful traditions. One of Linda’s greatest joys was traveling with Charles to University of Kentucky basketball games, creating memories that spanned decades. She also accomplished visiting all 50 states.

Linda was a faithful member of First Church of Christ – Burlington, where she attended for over 30 years and formed many cherished friendships. Her church family was an important part of her life and faith journey.

She deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. Linda also cherished traveling on many vacations with her friends, always valuing fellowship and togetherness.

Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Marshall of Burlington, Kentucky; her son, Craig Marshall of Covington, Kentucky; her daughter, Dana (Matthew) Lewandowski of Caledonia, Michigan; her grandchildren Abigale (Steven) Vandergraff, Jordan Lewandowski, Elizabeth Marshall, Amber Lewandowski, Benjamin (Jessica) Marshall, and Ty Lewandowski; and her sister-in-law, Nancye McClanahan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Wilma McClanahan of Carlisle, Kentucky, and her brother, Martin McClanahan of Butler, KY.

Linda lived with long-term dementia, a journey met with compassion, patience, and love from her family. Though her memory faded, the love she gave and received never did.

Linda will be deeply missed and forever remembered, now resting peacefully in God’s eternal care.
