Obituaries

Linda Sue Wightman, age 86, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. She was born on September 11, 1939, in Jonesville, Kentucky.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marlin Wightman; her son, David Wightman; her daughter, Vernie Horlander; her mother, Hazel Duvall; and her siblings, Bob, Don, Phyllis, Carolyn, and Dixie.

She leaves behind her loving children, Tim Wightman, Mike Wightman (Marion), and Janet Davis (Pat). Linda was a proud grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Linda also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Max and Benny, who brought her great comfort and companionship. Family was the center of Linda’s life. She lived for her loved ones, and they were her greatest joy.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3 – 6 p.m. at STITH FUNERAL HOME, 7500 US HWY 42, FLORENCE, KY 41042.
