Lizzie Turner (nee Bowling) passed away on October 23, 2026. Born on June 1, 1940, in Breathitt County, Ky, Lizzie was the daughter of Lonzo Bowling and Flossie Chatt Bowling.

She grew up in a large and loving family and was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Louise Sipples, Geraldine Turner, Elmer Bowling, Earl Bowling, Christine Bowling, Glenna Bowling, and Gail Siebert.

On November 16, 1957, Lizzie married Samuel Turner at her family home in Breathitt County. Together, they raised four sons, Mark (Jeanie), Alan (Joyce), Carl (Ressie), and Steve (Shellie). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A visitation time will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042. A Celebration of Life for Lizzie will begin at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at the Union Rice Cemetery in Union, KY.
