Lona Fay Ward (neé: Lancaster), 85 years of age, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Lona was born in Falmouth, Kentucky, to her late parents, George Lancaster and Helen Wren Lancaster. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Ward; her brothers, Robert and Thomas Lancaster; and her granddaughter, Emily Ward. Lona is survived by her children, Michael Ward (Cathy), Timothy Ward (Jennifer), Gary Ward (Cheryl) and Donna Buckler (Christopher); her brother, Paul Lancaster and her sister, Patricia Fellows (William); she will also be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Lona will be remembered for her love of family, watching the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Reds, and Worldwide Wrestling. Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home 7500 U.S. Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, Kentucky.
