Loretta Mason (née Taylor), 100, of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky.

Born on August 22, 1925, in Owen County, Kentucky, Loretta lived a long and fulfilling life devoted to her family, community and faith and was the oldest member of Grant's Lick Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and awaiting the arrival of her first great-great-grandchild.

Loretta was a dedicated homemaker and talented seamstress who lovingly made clothes for her daughters and provided alteration services for many members of the community. She also owned and operated a pizza restaurant in Corinth, Kentucky, and later worked for Walmart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Howard Mason; her parents, Lescal and Gertrude (Fornash) Taylor; her sons, Ken Mason and Andy Mason; her brother, Les Taylor; and her son-in-law, Al Polatka and daughter-in-law Raenette Mason.

Loretta is survived by her children, Terry (Jim) Robinson, Carolyn (Bill) Carson, Gwen Leahy, Ann (Bob) Davis, Cynthia Polatka, Mike (Jennifer) Mason, Dennis (Beth) Mason, and Brad (Gladys) Mason; daughter-in-law, Max Mason; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Grant's Lick Baptist Church, 941 Clay Ridge Road, Alexandria, KY 41001, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
