Obituary For Lowell Jarvis
Lowell “Russell” Jarvis, 70, of Crittenden, passed away peacefully with his family by his bedside on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was born on November 17, 1954, in Covington, the son of the late Reid P. Jarvis and Eddie J. Miles Jarvis. The brother of the late Reid “Butch” Jarvis and Brenda Jarvis Stamper (Don). He was a retired Steam Plant Supervisor with Emery Oleochemicals, a member of Crittenden Baptist Church, and a dedicated board member/volunteer of Dinsmore Homestead. Russell was known for his deep faith and love for Jesus. He was patriotic, full of wisdom, reliable, trustworthy, consistent, and a man of quiet strength and compassion. He loved to fish, lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and share advice that reflected his thoughtful nature. His greatest joy came from being a loving father and papaw, and he will be remembered for his steady and faithful presence, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. He is survived by his children, Brooke N. VanSchoubroek (Hayes) and Kelly R. Davey (Matt); six grandchildren, SPC Jacy VanSchoubroek (23), Reid VanSchoubroek (11), Parker Davey (9), Miles VanSchoubroek (9), Georgia Davey (7), and Hudson Davey (3); and one brother, Michael Jarvis (Vicki).
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Crittenden Baptist Church, with Matt Holleran officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the church. Graveside burial services will follow on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family welcomes flowers and also invites those who wish to honor Russell’s memory to consider a donation to Care Net Pregnancy Center, Dinsmore Homestead, or Crittenden Baptist Church Food Pantry.
