Obituary For Lucy McIntosh
Lucy McIntosh, 76, of Newport, KY, passed away at her home on September 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to her parents Wilgus and Helen Turnerin Breathitt, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wilgus Turner JR., sister Thelma Cole, and sister-in-law Cathy Turner.
Lucy retired from the IRS, where she worked as a tax examiner. She was a faithful member of the First Church of God and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking and making memories.
She is survived by her husband Leonard McIntosh; daughter Elaine (Tony) Shields and son Rodney (Janice) McIntosh; sister Wanda (Jack) Turner; sister-in-law Cathy Turner and brother-in-law Alex Cole; 3 grandchildren, Derek Shields, Tiffany McIntosh and Sarah McIntosh; also a very special first cousin Barbara Randall.
A visitation will be held on Thursday October 1, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home 10:00-1:00pm. Service will start at 1pm and the burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Grants Lick.
