Obituary For Lynda M. Huey

Lynda M. Huey, a beloved local figure known for her vibrant personality and infectious laughter, passed away on June 2, 2024 at the age of 87.
Lynda was a graduate of Beechwood High School. In her earlier years, she was the board member of the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky and had a passion for horseback riding. As a savvy real estate entrepreneur and the dedicated owner of M&K Apartments, she would stop by the office daily until she was 85 years old.
Being a lifelong member of the Ft. Mitchell Country Club, her presence enriched the club's vibrant community, and her absence will be keenly felt by all who knew her.
Lynda was renowned for her warmth and generosity. She approached life with gusto, living on her own terms without apology. Her frankness was legendary; she always told it like she saw it, refusing to let anyone dictate how she should live.
At any social gathering, Lynda was the life of the party. Her excellent memory for reciting dirty riddles brought both shock and delight, making every event memorable. She made you laugh, smile, and feel at home in her presence.
A loyal and generous friend and family member, Lynda's kindness touched many lives. She gave to many philanthropic causes as well. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, independence, and living life to the fullest.
Lynda is survived by her children Rachal Fitzgerald (Danny) and Tom Huey, Jr. (Amy); grandchildren Kristina Karrick (Kelly) and Preston Huey; sister-in-law Sally Bailey; and cousin Terry Gaines (Pam). Additionally, her amazing "Team Lynda" caregiving team stood by her side with unwavering devotion, providing comfort and support until the very end.
A celebration of Lynda's life will be held on Sunday, June 23rd from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Ft. Mitchell Country Club. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky or St. Elizabeth Hospice of Edgewood. Online condolences may be made at www.stithfuneralhomes.com

Dear Hueydoodles, We will all miss aunt Linda. The only girl I knew to bite a horse back! She was always there for us. .. I think she took each one of us to the hospital on different occasions. Her wicked wit, her poetry ( Dan Mcgrew) and her laughter will always be remembered. Love you guys. Sorry we can't be there. Tight and loving hugs. Kim and Michael
