Marc "Chip" Schwegman, 83, of Fort Thomas, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Chip was born January 1, 1943, in Lima, OH, to Marcellus "Brownie" Schwegman, M.D. and Dorothy (nee Knostman) Schwegman. He spent the majority of his youth in Fort Thomas, attending St. Thomas and St. Catherine schools before graduating from St. Xavier High School and the University of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Stacie Simons.

Chip is survived by his wife, Joan (nee Olszewski) Schwegman; daughters, Kate Painter, DVM, and Lexi (Nathan) Sheets; son, Drew (Emily) Schwegman; and grandchildren, Liam, Rowan (fiancée Alyssa Saner), and Devon Painter, Will and Emmie Sheets, and Aidan, Fiona, and Tristan Schwegman. He is also survived by his brother, Doug (Jesse) Schwegman; sisters, Lynne (Michael) Kehoe and Kris Klein; sister-in-law Joyce Mineo (Joe), brother-in-law Paul Robert Olszewski and brothers-in-law, Steve Simons and Greg Klein; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Fort Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following visitation with Rev. Ross Kelsch, officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
