Margaret Alice Monaco (nee: Schwer), 83, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026. Margaret was born on January 24, 1943, to parents John Walter Schwer and Elsie Elaneor (nee: Rich) Schwer.

She was lovingly raised by her aunt, Henrietta Wentworth Seeber, who played an important role in her life. She grew up in Highland Heights, Kentucky, where she attended St. Joseph School and later graduated from Notre Dame Academy.

Margaret worked as a secretary at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she met her husband of 60 years, Joseph. She later became a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to caring for her family. She was very involved with St. Joseph Parish in Cold Spring, Kentucky, serving as the sacristan for many years.

Margaret was known for her gentle spirit, deep faith, and unwavering dedication to her family. She found joy in sewing, needlepoint, and crocheting, using her talents to create thoughtful, handmade gifts for her children and grandchildren—each piece a reflection of her love. She also had a love of gardening, especially tending to her flowers. Her faith guided her daily life, and she served her parish with quiet devotion, always giving her time and talents with humility and grace.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her aunt Henrietta Wentworth Seeber, and her brother John Schwer. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Anthony Monaco, Jr.; her children, Marilyn Monaco Kump and spouse David, Joseph A. Monaco III, and John Monaco; her grandchildren, Robert Kump, Andrew Kump and spouse Abby, Ryan Kump, Amy Monaco, Joseph A. Monaco IV, and Sara Monaco; her step-sister Evelyn Arnold (nee: Keitz) and spouse James; and her step-brothers Harry Keitz and spouse Judith, and Ron Keitz.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
