Obituary For Margaret Kohl
Margaret “Peggy” Kohl, 94, of Villa Hills, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Madonna Manor. Peggy was born on May 5, 1932, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Chester and Lucile (Huber) Geaslen.
She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1950 and later built a successful career as a self-employed needlework designer, sharing her creativity and talent with many. A woman of deep faith and generous spirit, Peggy devoted countless hours to serving others. She was a longtime volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital and faithfully served as a rosary leader, prayer group member, and Eucharistic minister at several Northern Kentucky Catholic churches. Her compassion, kindness, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Paul L. Kohl; her sister, Sue Ruschell; and her brother, Jack Geaslen.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Nancy Kohl Hoffman (Jerry) and Deborah Kohl Kremer (Nick); her cherished grandchildren, Emily Moore (Jerad), Drew Hoffman (Kristi), Christopher Hoffman (Courtney), Eleanor Kremer, and Paul Kremer; her beloved great- grandchildren, Mason Moore, Madelyn Moore, Eloise Hoffman, Porter Hoffman, Harper Hoffman, and Henry Hoffman; and her sister, Kathy Geaslen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel at Thomas More University. A eulogy will begin at 11:15 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redwood, 71 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017; St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017; or Madonna Manor, 2344 Amsterdam Road, Villa Hills, KY 41017.
